A sound bath is a deeply relaxing experience where you’re immersed in soothing vibrations from instruments such as crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and other resonant instruments. Participants typically rest comfortably in a chair or on a mat, wearing loose, comfortable clothing, while the practitioner plays a sequence of tones designed to create a calm, immersive sound environment.
Unlike a concert, the focus isn’t on listening for melodies or performance. Instead, the tones and vibrations fill the space and gently guide the body and mind toward a more relaxed state.
Each session unfolds as a gently structured arc of sound, beginning with grounding tones, moving through richer layers of vibration, and gradually returning to stillness.
There’s nothing you need to do during a sound bath. You simply get comfortable and allow the sound to wash over you.
No experience is required!
You don't need to know how to meditate, do yoga, recite the chakras in order, or know anything about frequencies. If you're coming to our studio, you don't even need to get on the floor. The zero-gravity chairs are comfortable and supportive for nearly all body types up to 500 lbs.
Simply come as you are in comfortable clothing and settle in. There’s nothing to get right here.
Most people close their eyes and relax while listening to the sound. There’s nothing you need to do during the session. You may feel deeply relaxed, drift in and out of sleep, or simply enjoy a quiet hour away from the pace of the day.
If anything feels uncomfortable, you're always welcome to adjust your position or step outside for a few minutes.
Many participants are attending a sound bath for the first time, so you will be in very good company.
Wear comfortable clothing. Zero-gravity chairs, and yoga mats are available, as well as throw blankets for comfort. Feel free to bring a pillow or any other items such as an eye mask to help you feel comfortable in the chair on on the mat. Some people like to bring an eye mask or maybe a bolster pillow for under the knees. You’re also welcome to bring a journal if you want to reflect after the session.
Sound baths are generally very gentle and supportive, but they may not be suitable for individuals with sound sensitivity, certain psychiatric conditions, or implanted medical devices. Please let us know if you are, or could be, pregnant.
If you’re unsure, reach out to us before your session — we're happy to talk it through.
Most sessions include a range of tones and instruments played at varying volumes and textures. If at any point the sound feels too strong or stimulating, you are always welcome to adjust your position, cover your ears, or step outside for a few moments.
Many people find that their comfort with sound changes as they relax, but listening to your own body is always important. You are free to care for yourself in whatever way feels most supportive during the session.
Sound healing is generally gentle and well-tolerated. Many people feel lighter, calmer, and more grounded. Some feel energized and clear, while others feel ready to rest. Because sound healing can shift energy and emotions, give yourself some time afterward to integrate the experience.
However, like any wellness practice, it may not be right for everyone and that’s okay. Some people feel emotional, tired, or tender during or after a session, as energy and tension begin to shift. Occasionally, individuals may experience sensations like a mild headache, lightheadedness, or increased sensitivity to sound, especially if there’s a history of trauma, sensory sensitivity, or neurological conditions.
These responses are usually temporary and can be part of the body’s natural process of recalibration. If you ever feel uncomfortable, overwhelmed, or unsure, you are always encouraged to take care of yourself by quietly stepping out and taking a break or end the session. Your comfort and autonomy are always honored without judgment.
Not at all. Sound healing doesn’t require belief , just presence. You’re welcome whether you come for the science, the spirituality, or simply to relax.
That’s perfectly fine — and very common! Falling asleep during a sound bath is a sign that your nervous system feels at ease enough to deeply rest. Your body still receives the benefits, even if your mind drifts off. For louder snorers in a group experience, you may be gently roused to change position
Please be prepared to arrive 10-15 minutes early so you have time to settle in and get comfortable. Sessions begin promptly to maintain a calm and grounded environment for all participants.
